For the people that requested a full post:
Please note that I am not the person that ever does this kind of thing. I hate to seem like I am bad off or hate to admit that I’m in more than just a “bumpy time”. I’ve been poor all of my life, so it’s hard not to feel like it’ll pass and I don’t have to worry much.
It’s come to a point where I’m not just in a bit of a bind.
I’m really not the type of person to ask for help, but because of being out of a (reliable) job for the passed year or so, bills really do sneak up and I live off of financial aid and this little business. But bills snuck up way too fast this time. I had to pay $500 rent for a month for an apartment I was going to be staying in for 5 days and for the phone bill to not be shut off (it’s still about $300 behind because I’m paying for my mom’s as well because even though she has a job it’s hard for her to pay me). My financial aid return was supposed to be in almost two weeks ago and it won’t be to me until Monday. Also in the past week I spent a bit of time in the hospital for a UTI (I have no insurance) and my disabled friend has been buying me groceries all month just so I can eat.
THUS I’ve found myself overdrawn by about $800 and still needing to go to work everyday and figure out what to do for lunch, etc. And I still have to pay for my car insurance and another rent bill for my new apartment (I paid about $300 to be able to move in here) is due on Friday. Needless to say, I think this time I actually have to ask for help.
HOWEVER
I’m going to ask by doing what I always do: promoting my business.
For those who asked about signal boosting and those that want a succinct post, here’s what I do:
- I am a self-run business and have been for about two years. I sell merchandise from Japan through the connections I made when I lived there.
- Merchandise ranges from a variety of things like keychains, plushies, figures, wallscrolls, cups, and more!
- I ship from Michigan in the USA and I ship internationally.
I take offers if they are fair and will usually haggle just about anything as long as I didn’t already slash the price a bunch.- If you have questions or well-wishes, my ask box is ALWAYS open!
- Thank you EVERYONE for your concern in my difficult time. I’m just waiting on those first paychecks to get things moving again.
